Will you go where you don’t know and never be the same?

PROCLAMATION

FIRST LESSON                                       Philippians 4:4-7 

Estén siempre llenos de alegría en el Señor. Lo repito, ¡alégrense! Que todo el mundo vea que son considerados en todo lo que hacen. Recuerden que el Señor vuelve pronto. En griego el Señor está cerca.No se preocupen por nada; en cambio, oren por todo. Díganle a Dios lo que necesitan y denle gracias por todo lo que él ha hecho. Así experimentarán la paz de Dios, que supera todo lo que podemos entender. La paz de Dios cuidará su corazón y su mente mientras vivan en Cristo Jesús.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

SECOND LESSON                                                            Acts 2:1-13

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.  

(Italian) Quando il giorno della *Pentecoste giunse, tutti erano insieme nello stesso luogo. Improvvisamente si fece dal cielo un suono come di vento impetuoso che soffia, e riempí tutta la casa dov’essi erano seduti. Apparvero loro delle lingue come di fuoco che si dividevano e se ne posò una su ciascuno di loro. Tutti furono riempiti di Spirito Santo e cominciarono a parlare in altre lingue, come lo Spirito dava loro di esprimersi.

(French) Lorsque le jour de la Pentecôte arriva, ils étaient tous ensemble dans le même lieu. Tout à coup, il vint du ciel un bruit comme celui d’un souffle violent qui remplit toute la maison où ils étaient assis. Des langues qui semblaient de feu et qui se séparaient les unes des autres leur apparurent; elles se posèrent sur chacun d’eux. Ils furent tous remplis d’Esprit Saint et se mirent à parler en d’autres langues, selon que l’Esprit leur donnait de s’exprimer.

(Hindi) जब पिन्तेकुस्त का दिन आया, तो वे सब एक जगह इकट्ठे थे। 2एकाएक आकाश से बड़ी आँधी की सी सनसनाहट का शब्द हुआ, और उससे सारा घर जहाँ वे बैठे थे, गूँज गया। 3और उन्हें आग की सी जीभें फटती हुई दिखाई दीं और उनमें से हर एक पर आ ठहरीं। 4वे सब पवित्र आत्मा से भर गए, और जिस प्रकार आत्मा ने उन्हें बोलने की सामर्थ्य दी, वे अन्य अन्य भाषा बोलने लगे।

Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living in Jerusalem. And at this sound the crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native language of each. Amazed and astonished, they asked, ‘Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us, in our own native language? Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs—in our own languages we hear them speaking about God’s deeds of power.’ All were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, ‘What does this mean?’ But others sneered and said, ‘They are filled with new wine.’
